November 6, 2020 Seoul, South Korea
The streets of Seoul are lined up with rich and diverse dishes that are intended to be eaten on the go. This city is famous not just for being a shopping district but also because of its wide variety of Korean street food.
From sweets to savory, Korean street food will definitely give you a gastronomic adventure that your tummy will thank you for.
Take a look at the following guide to discover the must-try street food in Seoul, South Korea.
1. Chocolate-Coated Strawberries
These are strawberries with chocolates. Strawberries in Korea are huge and sweet yet surprisingly affordable so don't miss this Korean street food if you want a taste of Korean sweetness on the go.
Price: 3,000 won per cup
2. Odeng (Eomuk Tang)
Ah! My favorite Korean street food! I could eat this all day every day. This fish cake is totally the best and perfect for the cool weather because it is served with hot broth fish cake soup. Its taste is quite similar to fish balls or squid balls of the Philippines.
Price: 1,000 won
3. Tteokbokki, Breaded Prawns
They say you can't leave Korea without eating Tteokbokki... but I did because I'm not fond of spicy food. I'm a weakling when it comes to chili and spices. I kinda regret it but since I'm planning to return to Korea, this one's gotta be on my list. This Korean street food is so famous in Seoul. It has rice cake and fish cake in chili-based sauce.
4. 32cm Ice Cream
When in Myeongdong, you should definitely try this famous ice cream. It's creamy but rough in texture. Imagine, though it was raining and the temperature was 6°C, we still tried it and did not regret it.Price: 2,000 won
5. Gyeran-ppang (Egg Bread)
Another favorite! Seriously, I don't know what "enough" means when it comes to this Korean street food. Whenever we see this egg bread, we couldn't resist. It's like a puffy pancake with a whole egg inside.
Price: 1,000-3,000 won
6. Gimbap, Corndog, Mandu
Gimbap is a Korean sushi filled with rice, cucumber, pickled radish, carrots, meat, egg, cheese, and more.
7. Sundae (Blood Sausage), Steamed Octopus Legs
If you're a K-Drama fan, for sure you have seen this Korean street food already, especially in Fight For My Way. It's generally made of steaming cow or pig's intestines stuffed with various ingredients.
8. Seafood Pancake
9. Sausages
10. Korean Fried Chicken
Unlike the fried chicken in the Philippines, the Korean version is a bit spicy and they don't have any sauce for this like gravy. Korean fried chicken is best paired with salt and pepper with chili powder.
BONUS!
Binggrae Milk
And bonus, though this is not a type of Korean street food, you must not miss this famous yogurt milk when in Seoul. If you're a K-Drama fan, you'll see this drink so often! Most people prefer the banana milk flavor but my favorite is the strawberry.
The busy streets of Dongdaemun. There's always a flea market every morning. They sell new and used things and sweet treats at a cheap price.
Lotte Tower

July 28, 2018 Seoul, South Korea
Winter has come and so it goes. After the cold and pale season of the year, the flowers will bloom and the spring season is here. The bright, colorful, and stunning ambiance it gives surely takes our hearts, no wonder it is the most sought-after season of the year. That's why many people are searching for the best spring destinations in Seoul.
I'm so glad that my dream trip has come true. I made sure that when I travel to Seoul, it should be a full bloom spring for me to see the gorgeous pink sakura and there I was, delighted and in awe of its beauty.
In this post, you'll find out the best spring destinations in Seoul and the best date to experience it.
Let's start with the dates.
When: April 4-11, 2018
From my extensive (wow) research, the forecast said the cherry blossoms in Seoul will start to bloom between April 2-10. What I did here was to choose the safest travel dates (April 4-11) that will cover the whole spring season. My advice to you is to keep an eye to the season's forecast. Also, since I'm pretty sure you're almost always on social media, why not use it for the benefit of your travel experience, so look for Koreans online or join a travelers' group and ask them. This is not creepy, okay? I did this and look where it got me. Also, the Koreans I met told me that cherry blossoms don't stay long. Usually, it only takes about three (3) days for you to experience a full bloom spring.
Where: I've got 3 places to recommend
Seokchon Lake
According to a Korean organization, Seockhon Lake boasts approximately 1,000 mesmerizing cherry blossom trees lined up like a tunnel of flowers, creating a fascinating scene in spring. So imagine how much blooms will surround you. It's also located near Lotte World. The place is a bit far from the city but let me tell you, the long commute is so worth it. Exaggerated as I could be but the place is beyond beautiful. It's mesmerizing! It will not be my favorite spot for nothing.
Seoul Forest
This place is such a treasure, too! The cherry blossom trees are perfectly lined up like they're the real-life umbrellas in every corner. However, the place is kind of crowded because it's like a popular hangout place for the youngsters. If I'm not mistaken, there are nearby schools in the area that's why it's mostly occupied by students.
Yeouido Hangang Park
Finally, the park that also caught my heart! Yeouido is such a great place to take photoshoots with cherry blossoms in the background. This is the best place to bask in the city's most beautiful blooms. Also, it's a peaceful and romantic place to spend time with your friends or loved ones. I'm not overreacting here but I really fell in love with the place, ambiance, atmosphere, everything about this park is worth exploring. Yeouido is definitely one of the best spring destinations in Seoul.
When are you planning to travel to Seoul? :)
May 19, 2018 Seoul, South Korea
It was a sunny day when I visited Seoul Forest. However, though the sun is up, I couldn't feel it because of the cool breeze touching my skin. For someone who lives in a tropical country, 6°C is already chilly. But heck do I care no more 'cause the skies are clear and the blooms are nothing but beautiful.

May 5, 2018 Seoul, South Korea
If there's one place in Korea that I'd never get tired of going to, it's Seokchon lake. If you're coming from the city proper like Myeongdong or Dongdaemun, you'd have to take a long commute but, it's so worth it.
Let me tell you about the day we went to Seokchon lake. It wasn't actually the original plan that day because what's in our agenda was to go to Jinhae Cherry Blossoms Festival but our unmindful selves thought we're scheduled to tour at Nami Island and should assemble at the meeting place by 6am. We arrived on time for the Nami tour but, one hour late on the supposed original tour of the day, thus, we missed it.

Annyeong! Since K-dramas are all over here, I'm inspired to do a post on Korean fashion. Their style mostly rely on either cropped or over-sized tops and pair them with button down skirts. Cute is the perfect way to describe K-fashion.
So on this post, I'll round up a list of must-haves to pull off a Korean fashion.
