Identify your theme.

What is your shoot's peg? This will build your overall concept.

Choose the perfect location for your theme.

Say you're doing a rustic-themed shoot, mostly, these are set in a garden or nature-inspired location. Get a location that will match your theme.

Get the right clothes.

What you will wear should perfectly suit your theme and location. For a rustic shoot, go for flowy and/or coachella-inspired outfits.

Know the right colors.

This is one of the most important things to consider when doing an outdoor shoot. Choose a palette that is totally contrasting to the tone of your location. If your shoot is set in a forest, mostly, you will be surrounded by lots of browns and greens. For you to standout, wear something that is far from your background's color. Red, pink, and blue are the perfect colors for this kind of location.

As you'll see on my photos, I wore a vibrant blue dress with red and pink accents. That way, the background won't eat me. :)
